EU may challenge U.S. ban on online bettingFebruary 2, 2007U.S. restrictions on online gambling may amount to protectionism and the European Union may challenge it in the World Trade Organization, the bloc's top financial regulator said. "There is at least a prima facie case to suggest this is a protectionist measure," EU Internal Market Commissioner Charlie McCreevy said.
